J-Marq
J-Marq is a Filipino-American DJ and producer raised in Watsonville, CA, and currently based in Portland, OR. He is deeply rooted in the sounds of soul, R&B, and hip hop, shaped by the R&B ballads that soundtracked his car rides home as a child, as well as his early-teen years spent learning to sample and make boom-bap beats. DJing has been an important art form within the Filipino-American community, especially in the Bay Area, and he’s honored to be a small speck among the many talented Filipinos who have contributed to this pillar of hip hop.
