Featured Artists

Learn more about some of the talented artists featured at this year’s gala.

Yasmine Nasser Diaz
The latest iteration of Diaz’s geometric bedroom installation is imbued with the experiences of many yet wholly encapsulates the personal. Local performers will perform the piece’s original choreography throughout the evening.
Joe Namy
Have you ever been to a dance party inside of a museum exhibition? Experience a dance floor like you never have before — guests have the rare opportunity to boogie alongside local dance performers and a live DJ on Namy’s copper dance floor installation.
Sahar Khoury
Don't miss DJs spinning records on a multimedia sculpture (featuring working turntables!) by Oakland-based Arab Persian American artist Sahar Khoury, who will attend the festivities.
Colleen Quen
Inspired by nature’s motifs, couturière Colleen Quen’s designs are made of enchanting dreams. From a delicate flower blossoming to a butterfly’s quiet beauty, Quen channels her wonder and reverence for the natural world into art, transforming amorphous energy into pioneering shapes.
Dream State
Is your dream powerful enough? Dream State is a bold new artist development program for emerging AAPI creatives. Driven by a pressing need to cultivate community, hope, and self-belief, Dream State invites guests to explore a village of self-discovery.
EnActe Arts
The Xpressions Dance Company, led by Srividya Eashwar, illuminates Samsung Hall with Ghoomar, the radiant folk dance of Rajasthan. Performed with lights by a multi-dancer ensemble, this dazzling work spins color, rhythm, and celebration into motion to welcome the Hindu New Year.
DJ Umami
This Filipina American DJ brings unmistakable flavor and fervor to any dancefloor, celebration, or occasion. Umami’s ability to read the energy of a crowd and belief in music as healing allows her to serve an eclectic menu of sounds.
Cornelius Boots
Cornelius Boots is an animist, archcreative composer and lifelong woodwinder. Boots has performed in most types of ensembles, at international festivals and up-close for goats with big horns. Enjoy his performance of Solo Nature Hymns alongside the New Japanese Clay exhibition.
